A glamour is a spell to alter the appearance of people and objects.

Maggie Vera used this spell for personal gain to throw a party for her sorority and impress her sisters.

The alterations conjured by this spell are not illusions, but rather physical changes to reality. It is unclear what happens to glamoured objects that have been consumed by an individual before being unglamoured; such as the skinny margaritas consumed by Lucy and her sorority companion which Maggie had glamoured from a pair of limes.

Book of Shadows Entry

  • 1/4 Cup of Cornstarch
  • 1 Tablespoon of Maranta Arundinacea
  • 1 Tablespoon of Syzgium Aromaticum
  • 1 Tablespoon of Matricaria Recutita
  • 1 Tablespoon of Urtica Dioica
  • Cloves
  • Nettles
  • Arrowroot
  • Chamomile Flowers

Coat fingertips with power from the mortar. Focus attention on the object to be transformed. Hold it in the minds eye for a moment before snapping powdered fingers together.

To Release:

Say sine dolus to return all affected objects to their original form.

The reversal spell listed in the Book of Shadows is Sine Dolus which translates as without deceit. Maggie, however, used her own version, Lux Veritas, which translates roughly as either Light the truth or Shine the Truth.

  • In the original series, Glamour is a magical power to change one's appearance in a form similar to illusion, and did not involve inorganic objects.
